Start with the tools you know.
Write your document in HTML. Set its typography, layout, and page dimensions in CSS. Generate a PDF from the terminal, Rust, or Python.
Install the command-line tool, then convert an HTML file:
cargo install precisionpdf-cli
precisionpdf document.html document.pdf
Follow the getting-started guide for a complete HTML document and examples in your preferred language.
A free core for everyday PDFs.
The core renderer is free for generating plain PDFs, with no subscription or per-document charge. Turn HTML and CSS into the documents your application needs, in the environment you control.
Use the CLI in a script or add the library to your application. Explore the free offering or make your first PDF.
On the roadmap
Documents that carry their meaning.
A document’s usefulness extends beyond the page. We’re working toward PDFs that preserve more of their structure and meaning, helping people and AI tools understand the same information.
Richer document semantics and improved accessibility are part of that direction.
On the roadmap
Build documents with your AI assistant.
We’re planning editor apps with MCP integration, bringing document editing and PDF generation into the tools where you already work with AI. The goal is a shorter path from an idea to a document you can inspect and refine.
Deployment
Keep rendering close to your code.
Run the CLI or library locally, in a Docker container, or in a serverless function. Package your fonts and assets with the renderer, and build for the operating system and architecture of your deployment.
Run on your own infrastructure when your application needs local processing; a PrecisionPDF-hosted API is under consideration.
Make your first PDF.
Start with a small HTML file and a few lines of CSS. Bring PrecisionPDF into your workflow one document at a time.
